Trying to force a password change for multiple users in Active Directory Users and Computers is having mixed results.  I’m not sure it it has anything to do with CP or not.

Process: ADUC, select user properties, Account, tick Change password, apply, run gpupdate /force.  Wait for a bit.

In OWA login with old password and then it prompts for change password with input of old password and then new password twice.  Always fails with bad password or username error.

In Outlook prompts for password as if it is wrong then also fails re-prompting for password input as if credentials are incorrect.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

What version of Exchange do you have? We do this in our environment and it allows the password to be reset. Just curious but when you perform this action it should show a field for the username. Is it the UserPrincipalName in that field or is it the SamAccountName? Also, CloudPanel wouldn’t be interfering with this.

Check out this article to enable the feature:  https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb684904(v=exchg.141).aspx (choose your version of Exchange)
