Hi,

I’m about finished testing import of content from existing setup, and after a few hotfixes i’m able to import users, contacts, Security Groups. But, the import site is unable to locate any distribution groups.

When i look in exchange management with “Get-DistributionGroup -OrganizationalUnit [CompanyID]-resultsize unlimited” i see all distribution groups.

I have double checked, that the distribution groups are in correct OU, according to CloudPanel Settings page.

Is this a feature that is not working right now?

Kind regards
Svendsen

Does your company code for that customer contain spaces?

It has no spaces.

Did you set the ExtensionAttribute1 to the company code? It is checking for all distribution groups with the company code in that Active Directory field because that is what Address Book Policies uses (well what CloudPanel uses when configuring Address Book Policies)

I did not have that set in place. I did try to add it, but then i startet getting some weird behavior from CloudPanel.

When i logged in as super admin, it did not show any information on the site, and all menu’s were gone. I fixed this by resycling the application pool, in IIS. After that, i added company ID to ExtensionAttribute1 again, but after this i was unable to log in to CloudPanel.

After some debugging, i can see that the settings.xml has reset itself to default, but the admin site “/cloudpanel/admin/setup” still shows the correct information.

Do i have to update the settings.xml file manually?

That doesn’t really make any sense because that extensionattribute1 on distribution groups doesn’t have anything to do with the settings file. Also CloudPanel won’t reset the setings.xml file by itself and in the newer 3.2 versions the settings.xml file is only used for the SQL connection string. Are you sure your IIS doesn’t have CloudPanel in its own website PLUS the CloudPanel virtual directory pointing to the same location? During the install if you specify a brand new website to install it to it will create the website in IIS but it will still create the CloudPanel virtual directory which results in a duplicate.

I documented this under:  http://knowmoreit.com/known-issues/

The view for that page is missing some code that can be added. I think I logged in and fixed this for you or it may have been someone else. Do you have it working now?
