When i try to delete a users (i was able to disable his mailbox function) using the cloudpanel webinterface, i get the following error message:

Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

What does this mean? How can i get this user deleted?

Active Directory isn’t letting you delete that user for some reason, probably because the user has child objects under it. What version are you currently on and is the user running  CloudPanel a member of Domain Admins? I’m talking about the user set in the settings and set in the IIS application pool ( http://kb.knowmoreit.com/troubleshooting/the-winrm-client-sent-a-request-to-an-http-server-and-got-a-response-saying-the-requested-http-url-was-not-available/ see Solution Two)

I’m running version : 3.1.1540.0
the user we are using in cloudpanel = the domain admin

it seems this users has been manually deleted from Active directory

now how do i delete it from cloudpanel?

Does CloudPanel see the user as having a mailbox? You may have to remove the user from the cp_Users table in Sql Management Studio then.

yes.

i actually just was seeing that we have lost communication with exchange since we have updated exchange to exchange 2013 cu19

do i first need to update cloudpanel to get it to communicatie with exchange again?

Need to make sure Basic Authentication is enabled on the /powershell vdir using EAC. Updates will reset this flag. This article will show you how:  http://kb.knowmoreit.com/troubleshooting/the-winrm-client-sent-a-request-to-an-http-server-and-got-a-response-saying-the-requested-http-url-was-not-available/

Glad it is working! Maybe Microsoft will make it not reset that flag on upgrades in the future lol
