Greetings Jacob,

My apologies if this has already been covered in another post, but can you please point me in the right direction as far as documentation for upgrading CloudPanel?  I’m currently on version 3.1.1.5, on its own VM with Server 2016 Enterprise as the OS.  The CloudPanel install is managing our Exchange Server 2016 Enterprise (which is running on a 2012R2 Enterprise VM).

By the way, we’ve not experienced one single issue to date, with CloudPanel

Thanks very much for any help.

Sincerely,

Steve

Hey Steve! To upgrade minor versions (IE 3.1.x.x to 3.1.x.x) you can simply just download and run the installer of the latest version. For major version like going from 3.1 to 3.2, you need to upgrade to the latest 3.1 first, then upgrade to the first 3.2 version.

Always backup your SQL database and the entire CloudPanel directory just in case. There was a point where we stored everything in a XML file but we have since moved the settings to the SQL database. In the past there were times that upgrading would wipe out the settings.xml file in the Config directory, but later versions resolved that (so backing up the CloudPanel directory will make sure you have a copy of the settings.xml).
