CP version? 3.1.1005

Exchange 2016 Hosting

This is a new migrated company with users, Distribution Groups and Contacts. I was able to import both the users and distribution groups, but when trying to import the Contacts, the import page is blank. AD and Exchange ECP both show 25 mail contacts.

Is there an attribute or something that needs to be set for contacts to show?

thanks

The CustomAttribute1 needs to have the company code but the reason they are not showing up is probably becaues they are not in the same OU (or a child OU) within the company’s organizational unit?

Thanks,

Ok the CustomAttribute1 is blank right now, will need to run the stampcustomattribute ps1 script. How long does it take to populate? I manually changed one contact and it still doesn’t show.

I also noticed that the mail address is alias_contact@cleintdomain.com. You had mentioned in an earlier post that in order for you to create unique names you add the company code in the place where “contact” is in the above. Could that also be why it’s not showing in the import contacts, does it need both fields populated with the company code?

Oh, and yes all the contacts, users and DL’s are in the same OU

Uhm.. It actually should be showing unless it thinks they are already in the database for some reason. Let me do some tests in our lab and see if I can reproduce it.

So the company is now completely migrated over to Exchange 2016 hosting and behind CloudPanel. All the user accounts and distribution groups have been imported into CloudPanel and show up in their respected areas. The only issue is getting the contacts imported. They still do not show up in the AD import section, even though they have all been stamped with the customer ID.

The only obvious difference I can see is when you look at the properties of a User or Distribution Group in powershell (Get-user identity |fl or get-distributiongroup identity |fl) it will list the customattribute1 with the company ID. But when doing a get-contact there is no list of customattributes.

However, if you look at any of the three objects with ADSI Edit (or ADUC attribute editor) they all have extensionAttribute1 populated with the company ID (and no listed customattributes)

Any luck with you lab setup?

thanks
